A Heartfelt Thank You from Ngwenya Lodge

December and January brought challenges that none of us could have anticipated. At the start of December, just as we were preparing for the festive season, Ngwenya Lodge was impacted by a severe storm that caused extensive damage across the property. Trees were uprooted, roofs were torn away, and many areas of the lodge were left unrecognisable. It was a deeply unsettling time for everyone connected to Ngwenya.

As the initial storm passed and recovery efforts continued, we were tested once again. Early January brought very heavy rainfall. While it eased for a short while, the rain soon returned with renewed force, leading to widespread flooding across the region. Many areas in and around the Kruger National Park were affected. Uncertainty and disruption once again became part of daily life at Ngwenya Lodge.

Through every challenge, however, one thing remained constant: the strength and compassion of the Ngwenya community.

We would therefore like to extend our deepest and most heartfelt thanks to every single person who stood by us during this time. To those who helped with clean-up efforts, clearing fallen trees, removing debris, and restoring order, your generosity and willingness to help made an extraordinary difference. To the teams working tirelessly behind the scenes, often in difficult and unpredictable conditions, thank you for your resilience, dedication, and commitment.

To our shareholders, your patience, encouragement, and unwavering support carried us through moments when the road ahead felt uncertain. To our visitors, past and future, thank you for your understanding, kindness, and the many messages of support you shared. The words posted on social media, emails sent, and messages received lifted our spirits more than you may ever know.

To every staff member, every supporter, and every fan of Ngwenya Lodge, thank you. These experiences reminded us that Ngwenya is more than a place; it is a community. While nature left visible scars, it also revealed something powerful: unity, compassion, and hope.

Ngwenya Lodge moves forward with gratitude, strengthened by the people who stood with us when it mattered most.
