Ngwenya Sunset Photo Competition

During July, the Ngwenya Lodge Facebook page ran a photo competition for the best Ngwenya sunset photo. The competition was a huge success with over 50 entries! Having over 50 entries made it near to impossible to choose a winner, as they were all so beautiful and truly showed how breath taking a sunset in the bush can be. Therefore, we left the voting up to the Ngwenya Facebook public. It wasn't long until 3 sunsets stood out with the most likes. The winning photo having 154 likes on Facebook!

We would like to congratulate Hennie van Zyl for his beautiful Ngwenya sunset photo! You truly captured the beauty of Ngwenya with just one shot.

The first and second runner up were close behind with 135 and 134 likes consecutively, congratulations Linda Lee Lang and Bobby Legg!

Pangolin Sighting

Noel and Anne MacLeod recently experienced an incredibly special sighting they had been waiting for, for 45 years... A pangolin! The Ngwenya-regulars spotted the solitary, primarily nocturnal animal, on a drive in the Kruger National Park and were lucky enough to snap a few quick shots before it disappeared again. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime sighting. Thank you for sharing your photos with us, Noel and Anne!
